Social Media and Affiliate Marketing for Small Business

Check out this London event on Social-Media and Affiliate-Marketing for Small Business.

If you are launching or growing a business, you simply must learn about two massive trends that have stacked the odds in the favour of small business (finally!).

By far one of the biggest Game-Changing trends on the planet at the moment is Social-Media. For the first time ever, global media is in the hands of the many rather than just a few very powerful people.

Today (and everyday) over 200M people created blogs, videos, podcasts, messages and other media presentations for the world to share.

This is big news for small business. It is not just the "Net-nerds" anymore, EVERYONE is using the internet to find the best products and services they want.

So what are you saying about yourself online? What are other people saying about you?... and can you reward people who take your product to market?

Affiliate Marketing is the biggest trend in the Marketing World. Why? because you only pay your marketing bill AFTER a sale is made. How could it get better than that!

With the right systems in place you can get people talking about your products and only pay for results.

So back to this event... It is run by Daniel Priestley, who 2 years ago came to the UK with a suitcase and a credit card and built a national business without a single hard cost ad. He built the whole thing through the power of Affiliate Marketing and Social Media.

He is an excellent speaker and I recommend this event Social Media Meets Affiliate Marketing.

Social Media Training to Grow Your Business

Just over two years ago Daniel Priestely arrived in the UK with nothing more than a suitcase and a credit card. He knew less than 3 people in the whole of the UK!

Today he is one of the most talked about young entrepreneurs I know of.

The reason people talk is because he built a successful company without taking out any ads in the paper, he used no radio, no fliers and no television. In fact, he built a national business without any hard cost marketing at all.

He used two very powerful tools:
1. He pioneered some cutting edge affiliate marketing systems.
2. He became an expert in Social Media (Facebook, YouTube, Blogs, Online Networking, Etc).

With these two tools he was able to scale up very quickly. What's more, he did this before the trend really got going... as it is right now!

This year, is the year where YOUR clients are spending more time online than ever before. YOUR clients want to read about you on blogs, they want to hear about you through podcasts, they want to see your videos, they want to connect with you on Facebook and follow your Twitter.

If your not doing these things you are missing serious opportunities and you are behind the times.

If you are already doing these things then I can assure you that you could still learn some great strategies from Daniel Priestley.

I strongly suggest you attend this half day training with Daniel Priestley and get your business moving online:

Some Days it is just not worth getting out of Bed

A man went to the hospital to have his wedding ring cut off from his willy.

According to the attending Nurse, the girl friend found the ring in his pants pocket and she got so mad at him, she used petroleum jelly to slip the ring on his willy while he was asleep.

He couldn't figure out what is worse:

1) Having your girl friend find out you're married.
2) Explaining to your wife how your wedding ring got on your willy.
3) Or finding out your willy fits through your Wedding Ring !

$75 Billion Annual Cost of the Conflict in Iraq

I was struck by this page in Losing My Virginity: The Autobiography of Sir Richard Branson published in 2007, p461.

The Pentagon suggested that the cost of the conflict in Iraq would by approximately $75 billion per year over ten years. In accepting the Nirwano Peace Prize on 8 May 2003, Dr Priscilla Elsworthy of the Oxford Research Group said,

"We must compare this $75 billion to the costs of building international security in other ways.

(a) In the year 2000 world leaders estimated that it would require $25 billion to $35 billion annually to raise levels of health and welfare in Africa to Western standards.

(b) Unesco estimate that all the world's children could be educated if we were to spend $7 billion per year for ten years.

(c) Clear water and sanitation could be provided for everyone in the world for $9 billion annually.

(d) HIV and Aids now claim 5,500 lives a day around the world - more than the Black Death, and twelve million in children in Africa have been orphaned by the disease.. Kofi Annan has called for $10 billion annually to address the Aids epidemic.
So, all these goals could be reached, all this suffering prevented worldwide for less than the United States spends on military action in Iraq."

Seen in a Doctor's Office

I'm sure that you have seen pharmaceutical advertising in doctor's offices on everything from tissues to exam table cover paper. Well, in my book, this one should get the prize....

My Chinese doctor e-mailed back: 'If the light stays on for more than 4 hours, call your "erectrician.'"

Little Girl on A Plane

A stranger was seated next to a little girl on the airplane when the stranger turned to her and said,
'Let's talk. I heard that flights go quicker if you sart a conversation with your fellow passenger.'

The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and said to the stranger, 'What would you like to talk about?'

'Oh, I don't know,' said the stranger. 'How about nuclear power?' and he smiles.

OK, 'she said.'That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, a deer all eat the same stuff - grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?'

The stranger, visibly surprised by the little girl's intelligence, thinks about it and says, 'Hmmm, I have no idea.'

To which the little girl replies, 'Do you really feel qualified to discuss nuclear power when you don't know shit?

Find The Guy Who...

When a GIRL stares at you ... she is wondering why you are lying. When a GIRL lays on your chest ... she is wishing for you to be hers forever. When a GIRL wants to see you everyday... she wants to be pampered. When a GIRL says " I love you " ... she means it. When a GIRL says " I miss you " ... no one in this world can miss you more than that.

Life only comes around once make sure you spend it with the right person. Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will stay awake just to watch you sleep. Wait for the guy who kisses your forehead. Who wants to show you off to the world when you are in your sweats. Who holds your hand in front of his friends. Who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares about you and how lucky he is to have you. Who turns to his friends and says, " That's her!! "

Wine or Water?

To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine... (and those who don't).

Benjamin Franklin was perfectly correct when he said:

In wine there is wisdom,
in beer there is freedom,
in water there is bacteria.

In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 litre of water each day, at the end of the year we would have ingested more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. coli) - bacteria found in faeces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop.

However, we do NOT run the same risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

So ............
Water = Poop,
Wine = Health.
Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of shit.

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information: I just thought I'd do you a special favour

Technical Support for Installing a Husband

Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as
* Romance 9.5
* Personal Attention 6.5
and then installed undesirable programs such as
* NHL 5.0,
* NFL 3.0 and
* Golf Clubs 4.1
Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2. 6 simply crashes the system.
* Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?
Signed,
Desperate.

DEAR DESPERATE ,

First, keep in mind,
* Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package while
* Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install theGuilt 3.0 update.
* If that application works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.
However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5 ,Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1.
* Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, D0 NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition, please do not attempt to re-install the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend:
* Cooking 3.0
* Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Good Luck Desperate

Interesting facts of life From The Easter Bunny

Don’t put all of your eggs in one basket.
Walk softly and carry a big carrot.
Everyone needs a friend who is all ears.
All work and no play can make you a basket case.
A cute little tail attracts a lot of attention.
Good things come in small sugar-coated packages.
The grass is not necessarily greener in someone else’s basket.
To show your true colors, you’ll have to come out of your shell.
Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits.
